I’m off to Calgary next week. I’ve been very kindly invited by Professor David Taras to speak about my book, Digital Currents: How Technology and the Public are Shaping TV News. I’ll be lucky enough to have the chance to speak to both Mount Royal University and the University of Calgary during my stay.

Before I talk about my book, I will have the pleasure of speaking about my latest work on gender coding to the Schulich School of Engineering at the University of Calgary. Professor Qiao Sun generously offered me this opportunity and arranged the event in conjunction with the University of Calgary’s Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) chapter.
